Software from the studio

Tools.

We keep running into problems that need software rather than a film. When the thing we need does not exist, we build it. Three of those have turned into products other people use.

Type

GlyphVault

A font manager for people who set type in more than one language. It checks whether a font can actually set Turkish, Persian or Vietnamese, rather than only claiming to cover the script, across 59 languages in 24 scripts.

Per-language coverage with the exact missing characters, campaign planning by role and language, matched-face suggestions measured across scripts, and filtering by script with live counts. Native, for macOS and Windows.

£3
Perpetual licence. One payment. Free 14 day trial.

Museums

Vitrine

A specialised CMS for museums and heritage institutions. Curators manage their collection, build a public-facing website, and sell event tickets from one interface. Built around the UK's SPECTRUM documentation standard.

Conservation records, risk register, loan agreements, role-based staff access, Stripe Connect ticketing, public collection browser, site builder. Next.js, TypeScript and Supabase, deployed on Vercel.

Live. Pricing on the Vitrine site.

Health

Privates

A privacy-first period and reproductive-health tracker. Local-first, encrypted at rest, with zero outbound network calls. Built so that even the people who made it cannot read your data.

Cycle, symptom and BBT tracking. An Argon2id-derived key hierarchy over an encrypted SQLite database, a three-slot passphrase system covering real, decoy and panic-wipe entry, and stealth app icons. React Native and Expo, SQLCipher, op-sqlite.

Live on the App Store and Google Play.

Something else you need building?

All three of these started as our own problem. If you have one that looks like software, send us a paragraph on it and we will tell you honestly whether we are the right studio for it.
